Reminiscent of 1930s and 1940s children’s picture books these works will have you ruminating on the joys and innocence of early childhood. Currently residing in the Barossa Valley, Glastonbury completed her formal training in visual arts at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, with Honours in 2000. This winter Barossa Living Gallery exhibits the bright and tantalising works of three diverse artists. Introducing Sarah Rothe, Bethany born and a gifted jeweller. Drawn to titanium for its richness and range of colours, Sarah’s bold yet simple forms have an industrial aesthetic highlighted by her use of mechanical fixings and are reminiscent of brightly coloured beetles. With 40 years of local, national and international exhibiting, Rod Schubert makes a welcome return to the Gallery. Rod is the Barossa’s most recognised and respected artist. Using striking flashes of cobalt blue, red and yellow, the canvases symbolise Rod’s fascination with the Australian landscape. The Barossa Living Gallery is also home to works by Marnie Wark. Tanunda Show
Saturday 14th March
The 96th Tanunda Show will be held at the Tanunda Show Grounds from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The Tanunda Show represents the agricultural and horticultural strength of our community and a long tradition of a special food and wine culture that sets us apart from many other rural communities. The programme showcases the best of Barossa produce and there will be activities for families, locals and visitors with some of the highlights including Dill Cucumber, German Yeast Cake, and Rotegrutze Championships; Amateur beer and wine making; Giant Sunflower and Giant Vegetable Championships; Opening of the Magpie Café where a light lunch (including the Barossa Pie) made from quality Barossa produce will be served along with Barossa Wine Show Winners‘ wines available by the glass; Opening of the Kegel Bahn for show participants to roll the Kegel; Hand milking championship; Canine Barons of the Barossa Championship; sideshows, farm expo, competitions and other entertainment for the kids and live music and a bar for the adults.


Wine Down at Whistler Wines

If you are visiting the Barossa Valley to attend Barossa Under The Stars or just having a weekend away ―Wine Down at Whistler Wines on Sunday 15 March for an afternoon with the Pfeiffer Family in their idyllic open-air picnic atmosphere. To ensure your seat BYO chair, sit back relax and listen to some great music while enjoying some tasty local food from the Barossa or try your hand at a game of petanque, or a kick of the football. Food will be served from 12 noon to 3:00 pm.

Moorooroo Park Vineyards invites you to come and enjoy a night of swing and romance as the Banks of Jacobs Creek come alive to the sounds of the KGB Big Band. You’ll find it impossible to stop the toe tapping as you're swept away by the Smoky voice of Matt Launer and the bustling sounds of the 20 piece Brass Band.
A limited number of tickets will also be available for dinner, to be enjoyed during the concert. Set seating will be given at one of the exclusive tables positioned at the base of the stage to let you fully enjoy the Big Band experience.

Barossa Film Club

The Barossa Film Club presents a short film from Australia, The Meeting Place and a main film from France / Iran, Kandahar, 2001. Films will be held in the Wine Education Centre, near Brenton Langbein Theatre at 7:30pm sharp, Tanunda. All welcome. Tea & Coffee are provided with a short interval.
