Mounted police will escort the Barossa Christmas Parade as it makes its way down Tanunda Main street. And that's not all – they will be joined by a contingent of motor cycle police who will join in the fun of the Parade. And wait, there's more – the traditional police car with lights and siren blazing will herald the arrival of Father Christmas in the Barossa as he makes his way to the Tanunda Rotunda to say hi to all the kids. A wide range of food will be on offer, shops will be open and the street will be filled with Christmas music from early evening to add to the fun of the 2008 Barossa Christmas Parade in Tanunda on 5 December.

Kas Martin, Tony Spencely and Mark and Mandy Creed took over Chateau Barossa Rose Garden Motel just over 2 months ago and have been very busy re-branding the property to Lyndoch Hill Retreat, the kitchen has had a complete overhaul with major renovations to the restaurant, including a fabulous new decking. The restaurant has the most magnificent views over the 15 acre garden, and views of the Barossa Ranges. Tonic Restaurant will be open Tuesday to Saturday for Lunch and Dinner and Sundays for long lazy lunches!

Viva la Alabaster!
After months of renovations, Viva the Flower Store in Angaston has excitedly opened its doors to present a stunning new interior. A greatly expanded store has enabled owner Avril Hallows to increase the area available not only for the beautiful fresh flowers the store is famous for, but also a larger gift range.

Along with the Viva’s own unique gift selection, local business ‘alabaster [barossa]’, owned by Bridget Laucke, will also be housing their range of soulful products in-store. The ‘alabaster’ range includes organic body creams, hand bags, jewellery, soaps, hats, woollen products, clothes and porcelain and stocks brands such as Bholu, Mud porcelain, Est Australia olive oil products and Oiko’s amazing hand dyed handbags. Local designers works can also be found including silversmith, Kirsty MacKirdy, emerging fashion designer Karina Semmler, jeweller Audrey Harnett and ceramicist Susanna Brown.
